- Entrance fees to attractions
- Meals and personal expenses
- Activities (e.g., surf lessons, swing park, water sports)
- Toll road fees (if applicable, minimal)
- Overtime charges beyond 10 hours
Policy
1. General Terms & Conditions
- Service Scope: These policies govern the private car charter services provided by Tropialis to the client. The service includes a private vehicle and an English-speaking driver for transportation within Bali, as per the agreed-upon itinerary and duration.
- Acceptance of Terms: By booking a private car charter with Tropialis, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- Governing Law: All services and disputes arising from these policies shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Indonesia.
2. Pricing & Payment
- Quoted Price: The price quoted for the private car charter includes:
- Private air-conditioned vehicle.
- Professional English-speaking driver.
- Fuel costs.
- Complimentary bottled mineral water in the vehicle.
- Hotel pick-up and drop-off within the main tourist areas (e.g., Nusa Dua, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Jimbaran, Sanur, Ubud center).
- Exclusions: The quoted price DOES NOT include:
- Entrance fees to attractions, temples, parks, or shows.
- Activity fees (e.g., water sports, cooking classes, rafting).
- Meals, snacks, or personal beverages.
- Accommodation for the driver is provided if an overnight trip outside standard operating hours is requested.
- Optional professional tour guide services (can be arranged at an additional cost).
- Tips/gratuities for the driver (at client's discretion).
- Any personal expenses.
- Parking fees.
- Toll fees (e.g., Bali Mandara Toll Road)
- Overtime Charges:
- Standard full-day charter duration is 10 hours.
- Any hours exceeding the agreed-upon duration will be subject to an overtime charge of [IDR 100,000] per hour, payable directly to the driver at the end of the service.
- Surcharges for Remote Areas:
- Pick-up or drop-off locations, or extensive travel to remote areas outside the main tourist zones (e.g., North Bali - Lovina, Munduk; East Bali - Amed, Lempuyang, Besakih; West Bali - Gilimanuk) may incur an additional surcharge due to increased fuel consumption and driver time. This will be communicated and agreed upon at the time of booking.
- Payment:
- Payment is typically made in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) in cash directly to the driver at the start or end of the service, as agreed during booking.
- For multi-day charters or larger bookings, a deposit may be required, with the balance payable on the first day of service.
- Other payment methods (e.g., bank transfer, online payment) may be available upon request and subject to processing fees.
3. Itinerary & Flexibility
- Customizable Itinerary: The Client has the freedom to customize their itinerary and visit chosen destinations. The driver will provide suggestions and advice on travel times and distances to optimize the tour.
- Changes to Itinerary: Minor adjustments to the itinerary during the day are generally permissible, provided they are within the agreed-upon duration and geographical area. Major changes that significantly alter the route or exceed the duration may incur additional charges or require renegotiation.
- Driver's Discretion: The driver reserves the right to refuse a request that is deemed unsafe, impractical, or outside the agreed-upon terms (e.g., off-road driving not suitable for the vehicle, unfeasible distances in a limited time).
4. Client Responsibilities
- Punctuality: Clients are requested to be ready at the agreed-upon pick-up time. Delays may reduce the time available for sightseeing or incur overtime charges.
- Safety: Clients are responsible for their personal safety and the safety of their belongings. Tropialis is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
- Respectful Conduct: Clients are expected to treat the driver and vehicle with respect. Any damage to the vehicle caused by the Client's negligence or misconduct will be charged to the Client.
- Compliance with Laws: Clients must adhere to local laws and regulations throughout the tour. Illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
5. Vehicle & Driver
- Vehicle Condition: All vehicles are well-maintained, air-conditioned, and regularly serviced to ensure comfort and safety.
- Driver Professionalism: Drivers are experienced, licensed, and committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and friendly service. They are knowledgeable about Bali's attractions and can offer local insights.
- Driver's Rest: For extended tours or multi-day charters, the driver's rest and meal breaks are important for safety. Clients are requested to accommodate these as needed.
6. Liability & Insurance
- Limited Liability: Tropialis acts solely as a transportation provider. While utmost care is taken, Tropialis is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by:
- Acts of God (force majeure events like natural disasters).
- Traffic conditions, road closures, or unforeseen delays beyond the driver's control.
- Actions of third-party service providers (e.g., attractions, restaurants, water sports operators).
- Any personal loss or injury sustained by the Client during activities not directly related to the transportation service.
- Client Travel Insurance: Clients are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers personal accidents, medical emergencies, luggage loss, and trip cancellations before commencing their tour. Tropialis does not provide personal travel insurance.
