Designed for complete beginners, this safe and guided diving experience lets you explore vibrant coral reefs and swim alongside tropical fish and turtles—with no certification needed.

Whether you’re based in Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, or Gili Air, our professional instructors will take you through every step, from safety briefing to an unforgettable open water dive.

🗓 Best Time of Year:

  • April to October (Dry Season)

    • Sunny weather, calm seas, and great underwater visibility (15–30 meters).

    • Ideal for beginners, with more predictable dive conditions.

    • Peak months: July–August (book early due to high demand).


      🌊 Best Time of Day:

      • Morning dives (8:30 AM – 11:30 AM) are best for IntroDive:

        • Calmer sea conditions

        • Better visibility

        • Cooler temperatures

        • Less boat traffic around dive sites

      🚫 Avoid:

      • November to March (Wet season): While diving is still possible, rain, wind, and reduced visibility can affect beginner experiences.

      • Late afternoons: Wind and currents tend to pick up, making conditions slightly less comfortable for first-timers.

      🌴 IntroDive Itinerary – Gili Islands Adventure

      Duration: ~4–5 Hours | Beginner-Friendly | Daily Departures

      🕘 08:30 – Hotel Pickup

      • Complimentary pickup from selected areas in Gili Trawangan / Gili Air / Lombok mainland (Bangsal).

      • Or meet directly at our partner dive center for check-in and welcome.

      🕙 09:00 – Briefing & Gear Fitting

      • Introduction to scuba diving basics: breathing underwater, hand signals, safety rules.

      • Try on your scuba gear (mask, fins, wetsuit, tank, and BCD).

      • All equipment is sanitized and fitted for comfort.

      🕤 09:30 – Shallow Water Training

      • Practice in calm, shallow water near the beach or pool.

      • Learn essential skills: clearing mask, breathing techniques, equalizing, and buoyancy control.

      • Once you’re confident, your instructor will guide you to the boat.

      🕚 10:00 – Open Water Dive (Up to 12m Depth)

      • Head out by boat to one of the beginner-friendly dive sites near:

        • 🐢 Turtle Heaven (Gili Meno)

        • 🌿 Coral Garden (Gili Trawangan)

        • 🐠 Hans Reef (Gili Air)

      • Enjoy a ~30–45 minute dive, accompanied 1-on-1 or in a small group with a licensed instructor.

      • See turtles, clownfish, reef corals, and more!

      🕦 11:30 – Surface, Relax & Refresh

      • Return to the boat and relax with fresh water and light snacks.

      • Optional: Underwater photos/videos available for purchase.

      🕛 12:00 – Return to Hotel

      • Gear rinse and review your diving highlights with your instructor.

      • Receive a certificate of participation—your first step into the diving world!

      No certification is needed. IntroDive (Discover Scuba Diving) is designed for beginners with no prior experience.
      The session includes a brief theory lesson, training in shallow water, and a guided dive up to 12 meters deep, supervised by a certified instructor.
      It’s very safe. All dives are closely supervised by professional instructors, with safety procedures and gear checks done before entering the water.
      Expect to see sea turtles, colorful reef fish, corals, and maybe even reef sharks or rays, depending on conditions and location.
      Yes! Dives are available around all three islands. Most centers are based in Gili Trawangan, but can arrange transfers or dives near Gili Meno and Gili Air upon request.
